What learners say
Microeconomics was one of the toughest classes I had ever taken… After failing my first exam, I knew I needed help. Dr. Gail broke down complex concepts into simple, real-world examples that finally made sense… I went from failing to earning an A- in the course. More importantly, I gained confidence in my ability to tackle challenging subjects.
Before joining the Tutor Tables Group SAT prep program, I felt overwhelmed by the test. Dr. Gail taught me how to understand the rhythm of a standardized exam. She helped me to overcome the barriers to the SAT with personalized tutoring sessions that helped me raise my SAT scores over 100 points.
I always struggled with English, especially writing essays… As graduation got closer, my anxiety grew… Dr. Gail's holistic approach… completely changed my perspective. She not only helped me improve my writing skills and reading comprehension but also taught me how to manage my stress and build my confidence.

Questions
What happens in the free consult?
A 20-minute phone or video call with Dr. Gail. You describe what's going on; she asks a few questions and tells you honestly whether Tutor Tables is the right fit and what she'd recommend first.
Do you work online or in person?
Both. In person in Lodi, NJ and Manhattan, and online anywhere. Many families mix the two.
How do you show progress?
Every learner starts with an intake and a written plan with one academic goal and one confidence goal. You get a written progress note at least every 4 weeks, in plain language.
What is Pause–Regulate–Plan–Practice?
Dr. Gail's holistic tutoring technique. Learners pause, use a calming strategy, break the task into small steps, then practice one step at a time. It's especially helpful for anxious test-takers and learners who have started to avoid the subject.
